Following the launch of its Ozworld footwear collection, Team Unite has partnered with adidas to expand the brand’s presence in the metaverse. Starting May 27, 2022, Fortnite Creative players can jump into a social experience inspired by the adidas Ozworld series.
Featuring sport-themed minigames, an accurate recreation of the Ozweego shoe, Ozworld characters and tons of details for players to spot, our game received over 300,000 plays on launch weekend, and was featured in the Epic’s Picks section of the Fortnite homepage.
Ozworld includes three minigames, named Soccer, Archery and Reverse Tag. In Soccer, we have created a unique new twist on the classic association football sport. One ball is placed onto the pitch as a random goal is selected. The first player to score gets a point, and you must choose to defend, attack or try and steal someone else’s points!
In Archery, players are thrown into a classic free-for-all with bows, but with a Team Unite twist. Our arena randomizes every single game, guaranteeing that no showdown will feel the same. There is plenty of cover and tactical advantage points for players to choose their approach to each fight, and it caters to everyone’s style of play!
Finally, in Reverse Tag, we combine adidas’ brand with the Fortnite style in an exciting way. Players must rush to get their hands on a crystal llama, and hold it for as long as possible while avoiding other players. For every second you keep the llama, you get points, and need to use your skills and speed boosts in order to escape the hunters.
