We are excited to announce that Team Unite has won two Bronze Statues at this year’s Clio Entertainment Awards, in recognition of our Fortnite map “Vengeance: Inspired by the Northman”.
The experience was created by Team Unite in partnership with Loaded and Focus Features to promote the release of the motion picture “The Northman”. Our goal was to create a fully-fledged RPG that took players through the gripping story of the film, totaling over 20 hours of playtime. With side quests, custom abilities and an immersive narrative, we went above and beyond to truly encapsulate the feeling of an open-world.
Our partners at Loaded and Focus Features featured the map in a heavy marketing campaign, sponsoring top creators to play Vengeance. This earned over 850,000 impressions along with 700,000 minutes of live content watched. Our experience was a first of its kind, breaking the boundaries of Fortnite Creative and using it to develop a massive 20-hour open world RPG.
It also caught media attention, being shared by outlets such as The Hollywood Reporter, ComicBook, Screen Rant, Digital Trends and Slash Film.
Vengeance took home the Bronze Award for Theatrical/Film: Innovation and Bronze Award for Theatrical/Film: Digital/Mobile. Credited on the awards are Loaded, Team Unite, Focus Features, Ashley Hsieh, Kelby May, Brian Farmer, Kat Dallons, Trey Davis, Danielle Nicoll, Gianna Sabatini and Eric Calle. Congratulations to everyone involved in the conception, development and launch of Vengeance and finally we would like to thank Clio and our partners!
